The lime plant
The lime plant was established in 1874 - but was in 1933 extensively rebuilt for the tidy sum of DKK 27,000. The plant functioned up until 1980.
In 2003 and 2004 the lime plant underwent an extensive restoration that would ensure the work against decay, and is today an important monument of the early Danish industry.
The Lime plant now serves as a museum, which among other things show a film on limestone quarrying and not least a new and exciting exhibition about bats.
